Backstage Pass Weekly Update 02

Not much news this week, but we've got some good things to cover, including an important question.

First off, the life situation is starting to get a little better. It still hasn't left me with much time to work on Backstage Pass, but it looks like things are starting to work out. Fingers crossed. Backstage Pass is now running fine on Steam. Early Access should start soon.

AND, physical editions are currently being worked on. Hopefully by next week I'll be able to give you a preview of the standard edition featuring new original artwork by tooaya.

We're also working on the special edition right now, and this is where I need feedback from you guys. Right now, the special edition includes the following:
- The game (duh)
- CD of the OST
- CD of Adam Eaton's EP, "Island Heart"
- Companion book with designs, sketches, info, and other stuff
- Five character postcards
- Codes for Steam and Desura

As it stands, I'm not sure how many copies I should have made, so I need a show of hands to get an idea of how many people are interested in having a special edition. Right now I'm being told the final price will be around $70 each, but if we get a lot of people interested, they can lower the price, and I think we would all really like that.

Edit: Anyone who pre-orders will have the option to upgrade for the price difference. You won't be required to buy the entire thing again.

Although that's kind of expensive, you do get a lot with it! Unless financial situations change, I for one would be ready to nab the limited edition. :)

That's a bit pricey, but seeing how much stuff comes with it, I guess it's a fair price. I'm definitely going to get it, though I must ask: will you still be able to work something out for those of us who preordered, so we don't need to pay for the game twice?

@Mila: If you pre-ordered, you can upgrade and just pay the difference in price (whatever that will be). I won't make you guys double dip for being supportive.

Alright, thank you! Definitely getting the special edition then. (:

Honestly it depends on whether price is affordable. :s I would love to order the limited edition but chances are I won't unless the price would be at $35 or under and even then it depends on how the items look (I'm particularly biased towards the art book.

I preordered and I'm interested in it. A bit pricey but it's worth it. I really like artbooks, so I'm excited to see pictures of everything.

I preordered and would definitely be interested! I love artbooks and extra content and just physical copies of great games in general. I would love to support you guys :)

When will it be available for sale? If it will be another month or two I can get it. If It's going to be gone by then I can't. The later in the year the better for me :)

Glad life is getting worked out for you!

I wouldn't mind paying the difference for the limited/special edition, since I have already pre-ordered the game, and I love it

I haven't preordered yet because I was waiting to find out whether or not we have to buy the whole thing again for the special edition. Since we don't... Well, I'd be excited for the special edition.

I'd like the price to be around $50 ideally, but it'd be what it'd be and it's a lot of stuff.

As long as I don't have to pay an extra $70 when I already pre-ordered...I'm in ~w~

I was a bit scared by the price :_D and also shipping to south america cost a bit more and takes longer, but after reading the comments I'm definitely getting it since I already preordered the game :3

I already love what I have seen in the preorder and will very much be interested in the special edition!

I would be interested, since I pre-ordered, it's nice that the price we paid for that gets subtracted for this.

As many have stated, I'm also taken aback because of the price and shipping, but I'm definetely inclined to buy the special edition, and, unless I have some real critical financial debts.

Hm... I have a question, how BIG will the special edition be? I'm not into physical copies, but I'd be interested in the art book and supporting Backstage Pass. I'm just not sure if I have the room for it. Also I'd be willing to pay a bit more than the difference between the pre-order and the special edition, $50 maybe? I don't want you to lose money...

Hey I would love to buy the special edition but if it was above 50 euro I probably wouldhave to pass..

Seeing as how much you get with this edition, the price is reasonable. I would totally buy it. I even have money saved for this xD Maybe making a poll would be better?

Needs more eroge!

I would love to buy the special edition - but I already preordered, and can't justify buying a game twice.

If there was an option to preorder the special edition when I was buying the preorder, I would absolutely have done so.

I shall be buying a copy ~

I pre-ordered already but am definitely interested in upgrading to the Special Edition. Thanks.

I am interested. I have posted some questions on the 3rd weekly post. Hope you will answer them.

I would upgrade to the special edition, assuming we still can. Didn't hear about it until now.
